Students are working hard inquiring into what makes a GREAT
performance by using the Problem Solving Steps: understand, plan, act
and reect.
By focusing on the three elements of drama (voice, facial expressions and
body language), students are nding effective ways to express themselves
on stage.
To prepare for our performances for EXPRESSTIVAL week, weve been
practicing in small groups and in front of bigger audiences, while
remaining open-minded and reective to other peoples observations and
suggestions.
It is amazing to see how the children are taking different risks on stage
and growing in condence throughout this unit.
We are all very excited for the Year 3 performances in a couple of weeks.
We hope to see all of you there.
Uni t of I nqui ry
The Year 3s will be
celebrating the year with a
swimming and pizza party
on June 13th. Ms. Unso will
be joining our swimming
party to help chaperone.
Please send in $6 with your
child for our party.
Please note that dismissal
for that day is at 2:30pm.
End-of-Year Party
In order to emphasize the elements of
drama in our performances, we have
decided to minimize the set, costumes
and props. For the productions, please
provide your child with a black attire
(dark top and bottoms or dress will do)
and dark colored socks. We want the
students to focus on expressing
themselves effectively on stage through
their voice, facial expressions and body
language.
