Rules 1. Follow all verbal and written directions and instructions. 2. BE ON TIME-You must be seated in your assigned seat when the bell rings. 3. Come to class prepared with your ART supplies, ART binder, and current ART CLASS assignment/project. 4. Be respectful to Mrs. Angel, your classmates, your classroom, and especially yourself. 5. The following items must remain out of sight/undetected: food, drink, beauty products, coats, head gear, unapproved piercings, and restricted electronic devices.
Consequences Not following the rules will result in any of the following steps of due process: 1. Verbal warning 2. Name in the behavior log, 30 seconds after class 3. Parent contact, possible seat change, 60 seconds 4. Behavior reflection, 90 seconds 5. Referral to dean and/or counselor
Positive Reinforcements: Following the rules above can lead to individual or class rewards which may be any of the following: Use of electronic devices Moving to another seat Free time Removal of behavior step Material items
SEVERE CLAUSE: An immediate referral may be given for any of the following behaviors: Fighting/ Bullying Vandalism/ Theft Swearing/ Abusive language Overt defiance Stopping the class from functioning
Electronic Device Policy: Using an electronic device is a privilege and up to the teachers discretion. If allowed to use your device, you must follow these simple rules Your device must be completely out of sight until your teacher says that it is okay to take it out Your device must not be used for cheating purposes Your device must not be used for social purposes Your device must not become a nuisance Devices used for private music listening: volume must be low enough to be able to hear verbal instructions Your device may be checked at any time for inappropriate material and reported You cannot take pictures during class time or use the recording device You are responsible for your own device; if it gets lost, stolen, or damaged, that is your responsibility. The school and teacher are not held accountable Rules are subject to change at any time per the teachers discretion.
Tardies On time means that the student is in his/her assigned seat when the bell rings Tardy students with a written pass will make sure their name is on the pass along with the date, time, and staff signature, and turn it in right away without disturbing the class or teacher Tardy students without a pass (unexcused) will be recorded into the tardy log Tardy consequences are listed in the JTHS Student Planner
Hall Passes 1. Students will receive three emergency passes per semester. 2. Students must ask for and receive permission for a pass to leave the room for any reason 3. Students must fill out the entire in/out log, clearly and legibly. Failure to do so will be issued a behavior log violation and may result in the loss of one pass.
Supply drawers You may keep your binder and classwork in your drawer- labeled with your name, period #, and supply # Unauthorized materials and debris and/or disorganized items will be removed and subsequent violations will result in behavior log and referral consequences
