Eastern States, 4I.TE and eminent educationists! It
is fully residential, and is sread over in 6#& acres of
land!
4cademic rogrammes in the Institute started
in 4ugust #$%8 with the first "atch of students
admitted to its 9ase ,odule! Till :uly 05#5,
nineteen "atches of graduates with seciali;ation in
4gricultural Engineering, .ivil Engineering,
.omuter Science and Engineering, Electronics and
.ommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
,echanical Engineering and <orestry have assed
out and many have "een laced in different reuted
organi;ations at national and international levels!

2. LOCATION
The Institute is located in a icturesque
valley at the foot=hills of the Eastern 2imalayas, and

th
ass through NEE=I for admission in to
9ase ,odule! )ateral entry or lateral admission in to
3iloma and 3egree modules are ermitted through
NEE=II and NEE=III, resectively! The modular
system of academic structure rovides terminality
corresonding to an occuational level, and at the
same time, it allows entry to the ne1t higher module
leading finally to a degree in engineering and
technology in si1 yearsA time after class #5!
The 9ase and 3iloma levels emhasi;e
more on ractical asects of engineering which go a
long way in heling an individual to "ecome an
entrereneur or face day=to=day ro"lems of industry!
The degree curriculum rovides instructions in
engineering and also emhasi;es on management and
entrereneurshi asects making an individual more
suited to the needs of todayAs industries!
<orestry stream, on the other hand, has entry
oint after #5/0 with (hysics, .hemistry and
9iology through NEE=II for admission in to 3egree
,odule leading to 9!Sc degree in <orestry of four
yearsA duration (i!e!, eight Semesters)!

The distri"ution of seats is such that out of

P4ll India @ (3=quotasA together! The second
digit P9A has got two num"ers, # and 0! Num"er
P#A is alica"le to those alicants who have
