The document invites people with learning disabilities and their carers to a Cancer Reference Group meeting to provide input on how to make cancer screening programs more accessible and understandable. The meeting organizers want to hear from service users on their experiences with the current system and gather ideas on improvements. A large planning meeting is scheduled for the autumn, though the specific date and location have not been set yet. Those interested in attending or providing input are asked to contact Inclusion North for more details.

People with a learning disability and their carers or supporters are
invited to the Cancer Reference Group meeting Many people are keen to make NHS cancer screening easy for everyone to understand and take part in it. People with a learning disability will have a view on how the current system could be made better. The network of people involved with cancer screening and the network of people involved with learning disability have some ideas. But we need service users involved. We hope to have a big meeting in the autumn.
We would like many people with learning disabilities and their carers or supporters to attend to help us plan to make things better.
The date and place of the meeting are still to be arranged, we will let people know nearer the time.
If you are interested in getting involved, please let us know. The meeting date and venue will be set later. Please let us know you are coming by contacting Inclusion North on: E: marie@inclusionnorth.org T: 0113 2626409
