Goal: introduce children to fractions

Objective: Children will learn the difference of wholes and half.

Procedure: to have fresh fruit whole and half cut into pieces. And explain the
definition and meaning of fractions.

Advanced Preparation: purchase fruit

List Materials: fruit, chart and a marker

Developmental Benefits: Fine Motor, Sensory, Social, hand and eye
coordination and Language and cognitive, gross motor

Future Plans: have the children use other objects
