In electronics and telecommunications a transmitter or radio transmitter is an electronic
device &hich &ith the aid of an antenna produces radio &aves' There are three %asic
architectures in designing lo&(po&er transmitters) the %asic oscillator master oscillator(po&er
amplifier and heterodyne mi*er(po&er amplifier ((( each having its o&n advantages and
disadvantages over the other t&o'

The transmitter circuit uses a series(tuned Colpitts oscillator circuit &hich features relatively
high(frequency sta%ility compared to other oscillator circuits' The frequency is determined %y
