The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a
self-motivated and goal driven individual for this position, reporting to the Head of the
Parliamentary Media Office. The successful incumbent should meet the following requirements:

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Firm understanding and knowledge of the South African political environment;
Previous experience in media and research advantageous;
Qualifications in journalism and economics advantageous;
Computer literacy essential;
Proficiency in more than one language advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS:
Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic
Alliance;
Self-motivated and dynamic;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
Prepared to work long and irregular hours;
Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail;
Self-starting and innovative;
A good and effective leader with excellent interpersonal skills;
Outcomes-orientated.












KEY RESULT AREAS:

To successfully drive issues that reflect the Partys policies and political message;
To communicate the Partys message effectively, both to the media and within the party.
