The whole class learnt about the basics of computing and how they work, how we communicate with them and also how they can only be on or off. We also studied binary codes and decoding errors in codes.
How did you do these activities?
As a class, we learnt how to do them and had many class discussions about how to do these activities and why we were doing them.
How do these activities relate to computer science?
These activities all related to computer science because we were taught about error decoding, which is what computers have to constantly do. We learnt about how computers communicate with each other, which is what computers do and everything we learnt had something to go with computer science, the study of computers.
What are the concepts explored in the activities and how do they relate to computer science?
The concepts we looked at were binary codes, which are what computers use to work, error decoding, which is what computers do in order to keep themselves going and we looked at communication between computers, which is what we need them to do so people can communicate.
