Electrothermal Simulation of TLSSPDs

1 Governing PDEs
We adopt a two temperature, parabolic model of heat ow for the thermal part of
the simulation. Heat is coupled into the system from impinging ions and from joule
heating through the electrons. The electrons are connected to a phonon bath so that
heat can be exchanged between them. We assume that the substrate stays at a constant
temperature equal to the temperature of the cryostat. Phonons can then carry heat out
to the substrate, cooling the device. The governing partial dierential equations look
