Commission Joins Board & Foundation in Seeking Attorney General Opinion

Citrus County Board of County Commissioners on approving the master agreement and lease
agreement to transfer operations of the Citrus Memorial Hospital to the Hospital Corporation of
America (HCA). The Board also praised the Commission on joining the Board and the Citrus
Memorial Health Foundation on seeking the Attorney Generals opinion.

We are thrilled that the Commission has joined us in a non-binding vote to approve the hospital
transaction with HCA and for joining with us in seeking the Attorney Generals opinion, said
CCHB Chairwoman Debbie Ressler, BSN.

This is the largest transaction in Citrus County history, and we are pleased that our community
will be receiving a minimum of $150 million for the county over 50 years, a total elimination of
the ad valorem tax a savings of $75 million, and $45 million toward a community-wide
charitable foundation, continued Ressler.

This transparent and accountable transaction will result in a total of approximately $270 million
in long-term quality health care for our community, concluded Ressler.
