REDUCTION AWARENESS then get your insights/learning. Finally, make a reaction about
it.
Before anything else, I would like to commend the one who made the presentation
for making it so appealing and catchy for the eyes. hoe!er did it, kudos" #ou $ust made it
more interesting and easier to learn and react about it.
%lobal arming is not a new issue that I&!e heard of. For all I know, it has been
there before I was e!en born. Back in high school, some students were gi!en the chance to
go on a field trip and learn more things regarding the global warming. 'uckily, I was there to
witness it. (nd in this little field trip we had, we discussed sustainable de!elopment and
carbon footprint reduction awareness.
)ustainable De!elopment is not really a complicated thing to understand. For me, it
means continually growing without being selfish. It is about us, the generation y, li!ing in
comfort but not taking away the discomforts of the ne*t generations. It might seem simple
but it ne!er is and ne!er will be. (s for carbon reduction awareness, now that&s where it
gets a little complicated. In the little field trip I mentioned earlier, we were asked to $ust walk
around where!er we are supposed to go because they said that in e!ery step we take, it
releases some gas that helps in slowing down the depletion of the o+one layer. )o we
walked, e!en if it was under the bla+ing sun, $ust so we could somehow help. In that field
trip, they also opened our eyes with how much natural resources we are destroying for one
petty little iPhone ,s or a huge, not a pocket con!enient, )amsung %ala*y -ab. .ow where
am I going/ I am $ust trying to say that these so0called de!elopments that became a
necessity to us, might not be good enough for the ne*t generation and somehow, it might
not e!en be a real de!elopment. 1!ery time we buy a gadget, we pay for the destruction of
our natural resources. (nd e!ery single time we throw these gadgets, we pollute our land.
e are de!eloping our world today while destroying the li!es of the future for the 2coolness3
we&d like to ha!e.
ith the common kind of globali+ation that we ha!e, we are not really supporting
sustainable de!elopment let alone carbon footprint reduction. But lucky to say, there are
already people who ha!e seen it coming and is now working for the kind of de!elopment
and globali+ation wherein we don&t ha!e to kill e!eryhthing.
