A message from our new Vice President, Belinda Shalders.
It was so great to hear the laughter and see new guests attend
our WIB meeting last month. I have been involved in the
community for many years, but I am always surprised by how
women come together to support and encourage one
another. With Spring here the flowers are in bloom in the
nursery, and everyone has a spring in their step! Great work
ladies, and I look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Business Cards
We have just purchased some business cards on behalf of the
Women in Business Group. The cards are not name specific, so
you can write your own name on them and distribute to recruit
new members! Be proud of your organization and give others to
opportunity to join. Ask our Treasurer Kerrie-Anne if you would
like a sample to hand out.
Showcase Your Business!
The theme of the October meeting will be Showcase Your
Business! This meeting will be a chance for members and guests
to showcase their business, product and/or service. Please
register if you would like to take part in the trade night meeting
by displaying material on a trestle table. You can sell products
or have a small display booth and distribute flyers, business
cards, invitations, vouchers, demonstrations or just have a chat
to fellow members about what you do and offer!
If you are showcasing a table, please arrive at 5:00pm to set up

One-Minute Elevator Speech
We will be continuing with the One-Minute Elevator Speech! The
one minute speech allows our members to introduce themselves
to guests and to practice letting others know about their business
and skills in a concise manner. The WIB meetings are a safe and
fun environment, so its a great way to practice your interpersonal
skills!
November Guest Speaker
Our November speaker, Sue Brody, is a Team Development and
Behavior Strategist. Sue will be running a Business Booster Breakfast
at the Bay Soldiers Club on Tuesday, 7
th
October at 7:30 am. This
will focus on effective ways to build your stress resilience at work
with people you interact with on a daily basis. In this session Sue will
look at 7 Thinking Traps that increase everyday stress and
