MOOSE NEWS
Message from the Governor
We are starting a New Year! Even though we dropped to number two in the state, it is still something to be proud of. Lets try to make this year as good or even better than the last one. In order to do that, we need Members coming out to the Lodge functions and joining in all of the activities. If you have an idea that you think would help the Lodge, we would like to hear about it. Thank you for all your support in the past, please do so again this year to help make us a great and successful Lodge. Thank you Drew McGarry, Governor Non-Members with a $75 Deposit for cleaning. To rent the Pavillion, the fee is $50, with a $75 Deposit for cleaning. Due to the fact that we have been receiving repeated bad checks from Members, beginning March 1st, the Social Quarters will no longer accept any personal checks. There is an ATM provided in the Social Quarters for you convenience. Ron Lanich, Administrator You will be able to meet the Officers of our Lodge and learn what the Moose is about. The General Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00pm. You may attend the meeting of your choice. The Lodge numbers will be assigned following the meetings. So You Think You Know Your Moose??? Trivia Quest Please ask your Bartender for an entry form. All entries must be received by February 15th. The Top Point Winner will receive a Gift Pack of Moose Merchandise. Take the time to get to know your Moose by talking to the Officers and other Members and learn what the Lodge is all about and the ways that we can support the Mission of the Moose and make a difference in our Community.

into some money, or their kids grow up, or they get a new job or any number of things, and they change their lifestyle or their daily routine and all of a sudden the Moose is a new option for them. You just never know, and that is why we must consider every member an asset or a seed just waiting to blossom and be a part of our Moose life. Many of our lodge leaders have expressed a concern about keeping members that dont support the daily operation, of the lodge. They feel these members are more of a liability than an asset. Trust me EVERY MEMBER IS AN ASSET. We have seen hundreds of cases where members remained loyal, to the fraternity, and although they did not support the local lodge, by frequenting the Social Quarters, they loved the Moose and what we do, and bequeathed some of their own assets, to the lodge or to the fraternity, in their last will and testament. You just never know. Hang on to every member you have. Treat every member like they are gold and do not criticize those that dont come in. They will when they want to, and at their own pace. AND, if they dont, just be glad they pay their dues and remain loyal - because, you just never know. Thank you for reading this. Unfortunately, it will only be read by some of our members. However, if we can instill the right kind of thinking, in our lodge leaders, it will benefit everyone. Stan Adams
Moose Riders

You Just Never Know. Some of our members are the best in the world. Some of our members never cease to amaze me. Some of our members put a great deal of effort into our organization. Some of our members support everything. AND unfortunately, it is only some of our members that we see, regularly. Just think what we can accomplish if all of our members did as much as some of the members. In the real world, that will never happen. We can dream all we want, but the reality of life is that only some of the people do MOST of the work, whether it is in the Moose, your community or any organization. Here is the thought I want to place in everyones mind. Could this organization survive with just some of the members? The answer is no! We need all the members, regardless of the level of support they give. From the person that only pays their dues, to the person that donates a lot of time and/or money - we need them all. One thing we must realize; how do we know when that inactive member will become an active member? He or she may pay their dues for 30+ years and never do anything for the Moose. Then, all of a sudden, they retire, or they come
