Facts : *. A closed figure having 3 sides are called Triangle
*. A closed figure having four sides are called Quadrilateral
*. A Quadrilateral, its opposite sides are equal and angles are

Concept : To identify the prism and understand their features
Learning Outcomes :
I. To enable the pupil to acquire knowledge about sides faces,
edges
The Pupil,
a). recalls the terms, sides, faces, edges
b). recognizes about polygons





II. To enable the pupil to develop understanding about polygons
The Pupil,
a). identifies the number of sides and edges of polygons
III. To enable the pupils applies his/her knowledge and understanding of the above
mentioned facts and concept in unfamiliar or new situations

a). analyses about the polygon.
b). select suitable names for polygons.
IV. To enable the pupil to develop skill in drawing shapes.

a). draws fairly accurate freehand figures

Teaching pointe:
1.The teacher will divide the class up in to group of 6 students.After
deciding how many groups there are ,the teacher will pick that many letters from
the alphabet.If the class have 6groups of 6and will choose letter A-F.
The teacher will randomly assign each student a letter. It is important that the
teacher chooses the group randomly.There will be amore divers group of
students.After the students are given aletter,they will be asked by the teacher to
get in atheir group.The teacher will have placed posters with each letter around
the room inareas,to help facilitate the gathering groups.
2.After deciding the group the teaceer will ask each group members
to pick an object from the box ,which she brings in the class.Also gave a activity
card for each group.The activity card as shown as below

If we call the faces of rectangular shape as lateral faces and other two faces are bases

After given the activity sheet and shapes, the teacher will describe
the procedure of the activity . after compleating the activity the teacher will
correct the activity sheet and gave re-inforcement for better work. Then the
teacher will exchange the prisms among the group and continue the activity still
all student have identify the shapes such as cube,rectangular prisms,triangular
and pentagonal prisms.
3.when the entire activity is finished,the teacher should dialogue with the
students an hero they felt after completing the activity
