Legends about Gold and Other Stories

This paper discusses experiences of researchers
(foremost those in museum studies) regarding legends
Key words:
about gold (known in north-east Serbia) and accounts
legends, hidden
about sacred places (known in central Serbia). During a
treasure, sacred
fieldwork, it can happen that a researcher is faced with
places, results,
unexpected situations. And although such situations are
dilemmas
dealt with one way or another, they sometimes result in a
misunderstanding between a researcher and his informant.
This paper, in addition to presenting a summary of research, presents also some new
experiences.
