Reflection task
According to the video observed in class, answer the following questions:
o What is an effective teacher?
An effective teacher is the one that helps the students to develop all of their competences.
Also a teacher that is able to understand the specific needs of its students, and that
understand the importance of planning having in consideration the context of the
classroom and school.
o What does effective learning mean for you?
Effective learning for me is the one that actually reach its goal in order to insurance
students real learning. Moreover effective learning it maintain in time, and is built
progressively through steps that the students is able to follow.
o What does the Chilean education system need to be successful?
I personally believe that what Chilean education need to be successful is to value in a
better way, and also considered that education is built as part of a process that is
responsibility of everyone as part of a society, that education is not just responsibility of
teachers. One thing that might help also is to look at the education issues as national
issues and to move forward changes, starting on making a cultural change related to how
education is understood.
o How do you hope to contribute to the national education system?
By considering myself as agent of change, I think that we can be role model for our
students, we can make the best possible from the tools that we have in the classroom, by
empowering my future students into their learning process, also by not overestimated
them, and creating a good environment in the classroom that is where most of the
changes can start to be made.
