In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of media products?

When comparing magazines with my own
and reds it is clear that there a variety of
similarities and differences. One of the
noticeable differences is the masthead. Red
has placed their masthead in the top left
corner so that it is the first thing you
see/read. However when comparing it to
mine you can see that mine is placed more
traditionally in the middle over-lapping the
main image so that you are able to see it
more clearly as it rather hard due to the
colour scheme I have chosen. Although like
Red I have consistent colours. As you can
see I have stuck to the colour scheme of
green and purple as it represents the
colleges colours well. Red has used rule of
thirds well as we can see that the model is
placed right in the middle whereas my model
has been placed across them rather than in
between, however I will keep this in mind
when I do my final piece. As well as this I
have used a medium close up to emphasise
on detail although Red has used a medium
shot to portray their chosen celebrity.
