Line Factory

Help us, help you.

We can only help you if you give
us correct equations, as most of
you are sending incorrect ones.
In this pamphlet we will teach
you how to help us help you

We will teach you the correct
form of using y=mx+b.

Lets Get Started!!!!!

y=mx+b
This is the equation that is
easiest for us to make your line.

Y= the number that you get out
of the function.
M= the slope of the line
X=the number that you put in the
function that multiplies the slope
of the line
B=the place on the Y-line that the
line crosses. Also known as the Y-
intercept

Now that you know the parts of
the equations, lets get to know
how to use it!

Here are the steps (We will use
examples):
1. Determine where you
want the positive part of
the line to start. For
example, 3.
2. Put that number in the
place of B. Your equation
will now look like this:
y=mx=3
3. Determine what the slope
should be, this would be
how fast your line
increases or decreses. For
example: 6/1, or 6, you
figure this out but putting
the rise over the run.
(Remember to simplify!)
4. Now put that where your
M should be. It will look
like this: y=6x+3
5. Congratulations! You are
now able to properly ship
us your line!
