Peer Coaching

Peer coaching is a process through which two or more professional colleagues work
together to reflect on current practices; expand, refine, and build new skills; share ideas;
teach one another; conduct classroom research; or solve problems in the workplace.
Peer coaching has nothing to do with evaluation. Its a collaborative process meant to
build each other through a helping each other to improve in their teaching practices.

Our Purpose:
Receive feedback from your fellow teachers that focuses on the growth you have made
on accomplishing the momentum plan goals.

Our Focus:
Our Focus will be on the 2 goals from the momentum plan being developed out of the
instructional rounds from this morning.

What to Do:
1. Find a peer that you can develop a mutual trust and communication to improve your
instruction
2. Sign up your pair on the Peer coaching sheet
By Nov 7th3. Observe each others instruction (15-20 minutes) (during your Encore/Lunch/one
time when a para comes to your classroom) (Make arrangements with your partner
as to when to come)
4. Sit down and give each other feedback focused on the 2 goals from the momentum
plan (Teachers will have a form to help give constructive feedback. I will email it to
you by Friday)
5. Send email of feedback form to Mrs. Davenport after your feedback visit. (This will
only be used for accountability purposes.)

We will go through this process after each peer

coaching
