Summary
The examination of old sources related to the Magnesians of Asia, the Aeolians, the
Milyans and the Pamphylians shows that the Persian Royal Court was establishing such
a management system for each of them which was related to the local features of the
establishment of the I Satrapy. On the other hand, the Achaemenians eventually aimed
at more effective organization of the taxation case and successful defence of Asia Minor
from the attacks of the Balkan Greeks.
