This document discusses the importance of social workers engaging in both research-informed practice and practice-informed research. It states that social workers should use their practice experiences to inform research and employ evidence-based interventions. Social workers also evaluate their own practice using research findings to improve practice, policy, and social services. The document provides two examples of how internship experiences can inform research projects and classwork, and how research evidence can be applied to help social work cases.
