Reading- This week in reading we have
been working on making predictions with
in our guided groups and in their
independent reading.

Writing-The students finished their

Pumpkin Problems writing. We are trying

to put more descriptive words in our
weekly writing as well as in our reading
response notebooks.
Word Study: One of our 6 words this
week is particular. Ask your child what it
means and if they can name a synonym
for the word.
Student Corner: This week in school we
played Bazinga to study for our science test
and did an experiment it was the best week
EVER!!!!!!! BY Zinnia M.

Notes

MATH-This week in math, the

students finished Module 2, time,
estimation and conversion of minutes and
hours. We started Module 3, Factors and
Multiples is what we have encountered so
far.
It is essential for your child to practice math
facts everyday (+,-, x, ). Math facts are the
building blocks of math!

Science-This week in science we finished

a short chapter on Heat. This was a very
challenging topic. We discussed
insulators, conductors, radiation current,
thermal energy and etc We completed
our 1st experiment on Heat.
