MATH
This week in math we worked on Place
Value, including all three forms standard,
word and expanded form. Also, the students
compared 4 digit numbers.
It is essential for your child to practice math
facts everyday (+,-, x, ). Math facts are the
building blocks of math!

ELA
Reading- We are working on our stamina
for silent reading. In addition, we are
learning the reading skill Character
Traits and Motivations.
Grammar- This week the students
learned about the 4 types of sentences
and Subjects and Predicates.
Writing- The students are writing
letters in their Family Journal and
working on their Paragraph of the Week.

Science- The students are learning about

Matter, Mass, Weight. What is matter?
Student Corner:
We are working on a 500 piece puzzle
during dismissal and indoor recess, I
cant wait until its finished! In science
class we learned that scientists use the
metric system to measure things!
