Mrs.

Kolackis Christmas
Newsletter
December 24, 2014
Twas the day before Christmas and all through the classroom
not a student was present, not even a bookworm.
The chairs stacked in the corner and the desks in a row, and I, Mrs.
Kolacki in her new Michael Kors shoes have just settled my brain for
a long winter break..
When all of a sudden I realized I forgot the newsletter! Away to my
computer, I flew like a flash and started to type as I tightened my
sash.
I knew it must be time because I had visions of 12 fabulous fourth
grade boys and 6 terrific girls. I whistled and clapped and called
them all by name; Now Zinnia, now Alexia, now Julien, now Marco,
Now Jack, on Bella, on Lamar, on Gabriel m, and Kayley go merrily
afar. Now Miranda, now AJ, now Gabriel D., now John, on Aiden, on
Flynn, on Chris, on Carlos, On Jocelyn Now Dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!
The last week before Winter Break went by very quickly! The students
and I wrapped up many projects such as:
The Number Project, the students chose their favorite number
and researched for facts about their number, wrote story
problems that include that number, and presented them on poster
board.
Christmas Around the World mini plays were practiced and
performed. They even had to use accents in their speech!
(Continued on the next page)

For Winter Break the students have a reading assignment that

will be due the day they return to school on Tuesday January 6,
2014.
They also have the option to participate in the Greg Tang
Christmas Math if they complete the whole game board then they
can get a prize when they come back from break.

Now that I have finished my letter, I feel much better

And away I drove, like Danica Patrick at Joliet.
But I must exclaim as I drove out with a holiday cake,
Merry Christmas to all! And to all a good Winter Break!
And

Have a happy and healthy New Year!
