The moonlight is shinning through the window

yi shi di shang shuang
And it makes me wonder if it is the frost on the ground

Looking up to see the moon

di tou si gu xiang
Looking down I miss so much about my hometown
Li Bai used his lines to express his homesickness at the
Moon Festival.

dan yuan ren chang jiu

ming yue ji shi you

When will a bright moon be coming?

Ba jiu wen qing tian

I hold up the wine to ask the sky

bu zhi tian shang gong que

not knowing the mansions in heaven

jin xi shi he nian

how is it up there tonight?

wo yu cheng feng gui qu

I desire to ride the wind over

wei kong qiong lou yu yu

however, I am concerned about the jade chambers

gao chu bu sheng han

the higher one goes the colder it gets


qi wu long qing ying

flirting with the clear shadow as the dance begin

he shi zai ren jian

can anything in the world of mortals compare?

he shi chang xiang bie shi yuan

why must the moon be full when we apart?


ren you bei huan li he

people have sarrow, joy, separate and reunion together

yue you ying qing yuan que

the moon can be shady, clear, full or deficient

chi shi gu nan quan

this matter has never been perfect

dan yuan ren chang jiu

I long for us to achieve longevity

qian li gong chan juan

a thousand miles apart yet we see the same soon
