1. How were the objectives met?

The objectives of my lesson were met by the students following the teacher in learning and
dancing the Macarena. Were not able to get around to clapping the rhythm because my
students already had a clear understanding of where the downbeat was while trying the dance
to the song. The students were able to adapt the Macarena dance to pathway, direction, range,
time and energy.
2. Was the material too difficult? Simple? Uninteresting? Directions not clear? Explain
The material for the students was engaging; they learned the counts to the dance in English and
Spanish, which the children really enjoyed. They had one clear rule that kept them attentive it
was when they hear 5,6,7,8 it means to begin/stop or listen to instructions. The students were
interested in the many different ways to do the Macarena.
3. How was the Lesson challenging to the students?
The students were challenged with having to be able to switch quickly between elements of
dance added to the Macarena dance phrase. They also had to learn to flock with the instructor.
4. What skills need additional practice?
Students need additional practice with not interacting with their friends during individual
practice times in the lesson.
5. What students need particular attentionskill, social, emotion, etc.?
The boys in my class need special attention because they tend to want to compete and push and
shove each other. Id say they need more attention when it comes to the productively and
positively participate with one another.
