Skills

I have 3 months of experience working as a mentee under experienced professionals in an early

childhood classroom, teaching children between the ages 3-5.
In these 3 months I developed and implemented many activities where I personally got to see
hands on how each child responded to each individual activity.
I worked on developing my language and interaction skills with the children, and becoming more
fluent in asking them open-ended questions.
I built on my guidance skills.
I worked on changing the environment centered on one particular theme including: changing the
bulletin boards and incorporating items that create an interest to play in the different curriculum
areas.
I worked on developing relationships with the parents. Communicated with the parents that
spoke Spanish when asked to assist.
I learned how to properly clean, sanitize, and serve food according to the Title 22 Health and
Safety Regulations. I learned where certain products were stored and kept away from the
children.
