Critical Reflection
English 111 has been a helpful class for me showing me many new things to
incorporate into my papers to make me a better writer. In my synthesis essay titled
Video Games I learned to be an effective thinker by being able to problematize an
issue and give a compelling argument showing that video games have a place in the
academic world. in this way showing the aducince of my paper that video game could
be the best learning tool of all. I presented my voice giving the audience a grasp on the
concept and showing them information in a structured manner.
My academic synthesis essay was on the topic of how video games make us
better writers i demonstrate many techniques in this papers showing off some critical
reflection on the subject showing how i develop a critical approach to the topic and
showing reflection on my own writing process and research. I show how i have worked
with source to come to the conclusions that i have using different kinds of sources such
as books and online articles. I critically analyze quotes from different sources while
showing how the sources are relevant and how they connect to each other. I use these
sources to add to my own thinking and ideas about how video games can make us
better writers and citing the sources. In this i also show how i have structured my paper
give all the information they need without losing focus while building the paragraphs in a
way that makes coherent since to convey this information. i use the context of the
paragraphs to introduce the sources in an effective manner. I have proofread and

revised this paper many many times looking for spelling and grammar mistakes and
how to fix them.
these papers are why i have become a better writer and have become a more
competent writer
