This week we are learning:

Christmas

Circle Time Review

I would like to use this time to

celebrate Christmas. We will
sing Christmas songs, finish
activities and color Christmas
worksheets to decorate the
classroom/cards. We will also
open up the Christmas advent
calendar for every day.

Dates: December 22-25, 2014

Activity Time
Vocabulary: Santa Claus, Christmas, present, stocking, bell, star,
Christmas tree, ornament, sleigh, reindeer, snowman, candy cane, snow,
cold, snowball, and ice.
Sentence Structures: What is this? It is a snowman. Is it a Christmas Tree?
Yes/No, it's a reindeer.
Activities: We will continue on with the Christmas activities. This week
we will color Santa Claus for our Christmas cards. We will also complete
worksheets that incorporate math, Christmas and the songs that we have
been learning. Christmas Day activities will be celebrated on Thursday.

Phonics
New Letters and Sounds

Review
We are practicing recognizing the
letters Gg, Oo, Uu, Ll, Ff and Bb. I
will use cups to hide the letters in
and the students will have to lift up
a cup to see if they picked the
correct letter. If they do not pick the
correct letter another student will
come up and choose. If the correct
letter was picked we will sing the
correct Jolly Phonics song and
write it on the board.

There are no new letters or sounds. We have already learned all of the Jolly Phonics letters. Now
we are practising recognition.
