Christmas

This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
This week will be the Christmas
week and in circle time I will continue
with the Christmas songs I have been
covering in the previous week like we
wish you a merry Christmas, Jingle
bells and 10 little elves.
I will also continue with dances that
we have been doing over the last two
weeks. I will specifically be doing
going on a bear hunt.

Activity Time
Activity time I will continue going through the vocabulary we covered in the week
before these will be, Santa Clause, Reindeer, Sleigh, Presents/gifts, Elf,
Bells, Candy cane, Stockings, Christmas tree, Snowman, Decorations,
Ornaments.
It will be a very short week mainly filled with preparation for Christmas
so I would like to keep it light with the students and have them sing and
do dances as well as play some games. The games I would like to play will
be musical chairs and statues, snow ball wars and a few others like pass
the parcel.
I would also like to show them some Christmas videos and cartoons with a
Christmas theme.

Review
Phonics
Phonics next week I would like to
continue working my way through
the workbook and identify area in
phonics that most of the students
might be struggling and focus on
that.
I have been playing the croc game
with flashcards and I feel this has
been affective in teaching the
students to read.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
