Everyday a different student will
get to open a box with a hidden
Christmas picture. We will also
use this time to sing songs and
review previous subjects like
numbers and fruit.

Activity Time
Vocabulary: Happy, sad, scared, angry, hot, cold, hungry, thirsty, sick,
sleepy
Sentence structure: How are you? I am happy, sad...
Activities: Last week I introduced the vocabulary words. I used the flash
cards to introduce these concepts and get the students to act out the
different emotions. Because of Father's Day we only had one activity
lesson. This week we will play a charades like game where a student will
have to act out a feeling and the others will have to try to guess their
emotion.

Phonics
New Letters and Sounds

Review
We are continuing to focusing on
recognition. Without using the
flashcards we will go over the
sounds and songs for C/K, E, H, R,
M and D. I will use cups to hide the
letters in and the students will have
to lift up a cup to see if they picked
the correct letter. If they do not pick
the correct letter another student
will come up and choose. If the
correct letter was picked we will
sing the correct Jolly Phonics song
and write it on the board.

There are no new letters or sounds. We have already learned all of the Jolly Phonics letters. Now
we are practising recognition.
