PREFIXES are the word that go before the


root word.

Prefix: RE = repeat , examples : Reread , Reconstruct , Repair .


Prefix : SUB = under , examples : Subway , Submarine , Subterrian.
Prefix : PRE = before , examples: prehistorically, prefix , prepair .

SUFFIXES

SUFXIS is the word that goes after the root word .


Suffix ABLE = can be , example : enjoyable ,
comfortable , durable , teachable .
Suffix FUL = a lot , example : joyful , careful ,
exciteful , colorful , sorrowful .
Suffix AL = relating to , example : bacterial , natural
, theatrical .

ROOT

ROOT is the word that goes before the suffix


and after the prefix .
Examples : read , joy , way , care , construct ,
comfort .

They have power because they can make you


feel different emotions , they can take you to
completely different worlds or place they can
make you imagine and think different .
