LEARN ENGLISH VOCABULARY IN A NATURAL WAY!

H a v i n g a g r e a t a m o u n t o f v o c a b u l a r y m e a n s y o u c a n e a s i l y e x p r e s s yo u r i d e a s i n
English. H ence, you m ay appl y m any wa ys to learn English vocabular y such as
writing new words for m any tim es or mak ing sentences concluding new words. All
t h o s e w a ys a r e g o o d b u t I a m i n t r o d u c i n g a n e w w a y o f l e a r n i n g , w h i c h i s v e r y
easy and natural.
T he first thing I am telling you is about the prep aration . You s hould choose
English books, newspapers or magazines which you like most. This will help
you feel fascinated and less bo ring when reading. In addition, do not forget to
put a good dictionary such as Oxford Dictio nary besides you. It will be better for
you to prepare a m odern cell phone o r laptop h aving translation softw are .
Besides, it is ver y important for you to keep a comfort able stat us . Rem em ber that
you are enjoying a book or newspapers, not learning anythin g.

It is time for you to read your favorite book s. During your reading process, if you
meet any new word, stop to look up it in the dictionaries as fast as possible .
Then, continue your reading . In the situation you meet the word you have
looked up before but you
forget its meaning, look it
up again . As yo u k now,
carr ying out an action for
m any tim es will create a
habit; similarly, looking up a
new word in dictionary for
many times will help keep
that word in your memory
longer because it has been
always in your brain .
W hen appl ying this natural
way, you had better obey a
rule that you need nt w rite
anything. I am sure that there
are at least ten new words in

65

http://danglephuong.blogspot.com

the stor y. If you wr ite all the new words in your notebook , are you sure you will
read them agai n someda y? T he ans wer m ay be N o or Never. Because when you
see that there are too m any new words, you will shout: Oh m y god. And you m ay
soon give up all your efforts. T hus, w riting new w ords is not necessary . You
should only read and look up new wor ds. The more times you interact with the
words, the more familiar you feel.
Another interesting thing I m ust not forget to tell you is that you will recognize a
principle after a long tim e applying this natural w ay. T his principle m eans you
can only remember the short or not too long words. And they are most common
w ords w hich you can remember longer . Recentl y, m any language experts has
listed 3000 m ost popular English words and the y told that we need only learn 3000
most popular words to be able to read all English newspapers or books .
Hence, learning by this will help you recognize and remember many popular
words.

Finall y, I hope you will spend at least 45 minutes on reading English book or
magazines every day. Rem em ber to apply all techniques I have shared with you
and I believe you w ill be successful . A new week has just begun and you had
better build your schedule. Rem em ber to put the dut y of reading English book s in
your dail y routine. T hough you m ay be ver y bus y with a lot of work , do not be lazy
if you want to save your poor English .
