FOCACCIA BREAD
Serves 8
1 serve = 2 slices

Ingredients:
9 fl oz
1 tsp
13 oz
2 tsp
1 Tbsp
1 tsp

Water
Yeast
Flour
Salt
Olive Oil
Coarse Salt

Preparation Steps:
1. Preheat the oven to 425F
2. Warm the water to 100 F
3. Sift the flour and combine with the yeast, salt, water and half the oil. Knead to form
smooth dough. Place in a warm spot and proof until it doubles in size
4. Punch dough down to remove excess air and form into a loaf or stretch to make flat bread.
5. Transfer to a baking tray and spread out evenly using the palm of your hand
6. Using your knuckles or finger, press down lightly to make indents in the top of the loaf
7. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle the coarse salt over the top. Allow to proof

Cooking Steps:
1. Bake in the oven at 425F for ~15 minutes, until cooked through. Cool on a cake rack
Note: You can use olives, tomatoes and herbs etc. to top the focaccia prior to baking, but do
not use too much --- it is not a pizza!
