Top tips for volunteer recruitment & selection


Be clear about what youre trying to achieve
Good role descriptions (generic and specific)
Targeted volunteer recruitment e.g. colleges
Use social media to raise awareness of opportunities
Identify volunteers skills and interests

Give clear information on setting and role (activity and expectations)


Make clear expectations in relation to time and standards
Good introductions set the scene well for volunteers
