DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF MULTI STATION GRINDING MACHINE

ABSTRACT
A Grinding machine is a machine tool used for grinding using an abrasive
wheel as a cutting tool. Each grain of abrasive on the wheel surface cut the small
chips from the work piece via shear deformation. There are different types of
grinding machine which are includes belt grinder Bench grinder, cylindrical
grinder, centre less grinder, surface grinder tool and cutter grinder.
BENCH GRINDER
Bench grinder usually has two wheels of different grain size for rough
grinding and precision grinding operations and it is secured to a work bench.
Bench grinder are manually operated.
In our project work discloses a works shop unit use as a grinding centre that
includes a support frame having a driving motor and multi station tool mounted.
The main objectives of the work is used to do multiple operations including
limited to grinding, buffing, polishing, cleaning. The multi station tool machine
includes plurality of rotary tools.
In our power transfer system operator a set of pulleys and bevel gears.
Our present work provides a cost and space saving apparatus. In which
several tool share expensive components and arranged with one unit to provide
more function in less space. Relative to the same tool function and operator
manually.
