Mr Nobody
I know a funny little man,
As quiet as a mouse,
Who does the mischief that is done,
In everybodys house!
Theres no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agree
That every plate we break was cracked
By Mr Nobody.
Tis he who always tears our books,
Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the buttons from our shirts,
And scatters pins afar,
That squeaking door will always squeak,
For, prithee, dont you see,
We leave the oiling to be done,
By Mr Nobody.
He puts damp wood upon the fire,
That kettles cannot boil;
His are the feet that bring in mud,
And all the carpets soil,
The paper always are mislaid,
Who had them last but he?

Based on the poem above, identify and talk about one of the moral values.
Sample Answer: (B6 DL1 E3)
Moral Values:One of the moral values that I have learned from the poem Mr Nobody is we should be
responsible for everything that we have done or have not done. We should not take the
easy way out by putting the blame on others or by claiming ignorance. We should not
assume that someone would attend to the chores in the house but share out the
responsibility. It is irresponsible to claim complete ignorance on the little misdeeds
done in the house. The repetition of the persona, Mr. Nobody, in each stanza emphasises
how conveniently we blame others for our indifference, negligence and irresponsibility
