The Importance of Beatles and

Coldplay

TASK
In your groups of 4-6, choose one song from the Beatles, and one song from
Coldplay, rehearse and then perform to the class.
Complete a short introduction about each song you are performing (audio/visual).
You need to include the following:
Short paragraph introducing the band (years active)
Who is in the band, and what instrument/s do they play?
What is the title of the song you are performing?
Who wrote the song? What year was the song released?
What was happening in the world when the song was released (world event)?
Why did you choose this song? What do you like about the song?
Why (in your own opinion) is the group (Beatles/Coldplay) important to the
development of rock and pop music?
This introduction will be presented to the class prior to your 2 performances.
Each member of the group need to be playing an instrument or singing.
