Through sound and music, a game can completely immerse a player in another universe or reality.
The creative freedom to manipulate moods and environments is limited only by the technical
capabilities of the machine and a composers imagination. While being creatively liberating,
interactive game audio can also be technically demanding.

(73.1) For this assignment you are to describe the use of sound and music in
computer games. You are to choose at least two computer games that must be
cited. These must be from different genres of game release, e.g. First Person
Shooter, Adventure, Fighting, Role Playing, Sport, etc. You are to describe,
explain and critically evaluate the sound and music used in the game.
You must focus on elements based around:

Psychology of sound
The audio environment
Purpose of the sound
Source of the sound material
Legality of using sound in computer games

You should check all your work for spelling and grammar before submission and
you should use images in your report to support the examples that you
reference.
This document should be submitted onto eStudy in a Word format and a printed
copy should be submitted to the tutor. Retain your original Word or other format
document.
All references should be recorded in using the Harvard model of referencing.
