At the end of this course student should be able


To understand the principles of metrology and measurements, methods of
measurement and its application in manufacturing industries.
PEOs strengthened

To educate students to have good knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals in


the basic areas like measurements, metrology and various measuring instruments.
To prepare and train the students capable to handle measuring instruments and to
effectively use it, and also to make them aware recent technologies emerging in the field
of metrology.
