Hannah Pennington

Introduction

Write a couple of paragraphs explaining the purpose of this experiment.

Identify all experimental objectives and include some theoretical/technical
details. Look up the triple point (temperature and pressure) of carbon dioxide. Look up the melting point of carbon dioxide at atmospheric pressure and
the heats of sublimation, vaporization, and fusion of carbon dioxide. Note:
express all temperatures in units of both C and K. Express the pressure in
atm and kPa.
The following table lists properties of two of the substances participating in
the combustion reaction.
Properties
216.58 K
5.12 atm
Melting Point 75.38 molJ K
Triple Point

of Carbon Dioxide:
Heat of Sublimation C7 H6 O2
g
Heat of Vaporization 122.1213 mol
kJ
Heat of Fusion
-3228. mol
