Pythagorean Theorem, how to solve functions, ratios / proportions, and
quantitative analysis. Other concepts to learn will be finding the slope
of a line, probability, finding and measuring angles. Students will be
expected to understand mathematical concepts and apply them to real
world scenarios. Abstract, concrete and critical thinking will be used in
this course.

Assessments: A variety of assessments will be used in this class.
Types of assessments are: tests, quizzes, homework, bell-work,
participation, and projects.
Projects will be assigned a few weeks before their due date. It is a
students responsibility to complete this project and keep up with the
assignment. We will go over the project and the rubric extensively in
class. Unless there is an excused absence, a ten-point deduction will
be assessed for every day the project is late. Projects not turned in
before grades are due will receive a 0.

Homework: Homework is used to help students reinforce the material

studied in class on an as needed basis. It will be relevant and helpful
practice that we will go over in class.
Make-up Work: Students will have the same number of days missed
to turn in completed make-up work. Example: If you miss one day of
class, you will have one full day to make-up your work. It is the
students responsibility to collect their make-up work. Failure to
complete makeup work in the allotted time will result in a 0.
