Dear Dr. Ligouri,
Mr. Andrew Alberti asked me to write him a letter of recommendation to accompany his applications for internship and I am happy to write a favorable one on his behalf. Andrew is in the process of completing his coursework in the NASP Approved Ed.S. program in School Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver. Here at UCD, I have had Andrew in several of my classes: Intro to School Psychology, Crisis Intervention in the Schools, cognitive and achievement assessment, and Birth to Three Assessment and Intervention. I also supervised him in our Advanced Practicum in Psychological Assessment that was completed in the UCD Counseling Center. Thus, I feel quite comfortable commenting on his ability and potential as a school psychology intern. Andrew is an excellent student and has been a pleasure to have in class. Andrews assessment skills are outstanding. He has developed the ability to choose appropriate instruments based on the referral concerns, the characteristics of the individual child, and within the context of RtI. He understands the functions of the problem-solving team and the school psychologists role on those teams. Andrew is very conscientious and attentive to detail. Although Andrew presents as somewhat reserved initially, he has solid communication and interpersonal skills and he works well as a member of a team. In closing, I recommend Andrew Alberti without reservation for a school psychology internship in your school district. He is flexible, perceptive, eager to learn, and quite open to feedback. If you have any questions or need additional information please feel free to call (303-315-6315). Sincerely,
M. Franci Crepeau-Hobson, Ph.D.
