Green School Committee Minutes

The meeting started at 8:45 AM.
Previous Minutes: Change South River Alliance to South River Federation
Budget Status: No budget to report.

Single Stream Recycling Procedures: Stickers should be placed on paper towel dispensers reminding students
to recycle towels. IMP will be asked to possibly create signs and to print the signs from last years poster
contest. Mr. Milans will pay for casters/dollies for 3 large recycling bins. Bucky will bring in a 3rd bin. Rickey
will establish a routine for the custodial staff regarding the bins, which will include the custodial staff emptying
bins into the large yellow bins and ultimately into recycling dumpster.

Other Green/Recycling Procedures:

Marine/Auto Tech/Auto Col manage hazardous waste removal
Metal recycling bin outside Cisco
Wood buyer has not been found to pick up recycling at this point

Student Green Team:

The meetings will be held monthly at 1:10 on TBD dates. The first meeting will be held in Cisco after tours at
1:00 12/12/2014. Marlena Lewis will write the agenda and co-chair the meetings.
Green School Application: The Green School director has been notified of our intent to reapply to waive the $50 fee.
Pam completed the online intent-to-apply form.

Have posters printed from last years recycling poster contest winners.
