COMMUNICATING THREATS

March 31, 2015

HUNTERSVILLE, NC: On todays date at approximately 11:00 a.m., Huntersville Police received a
call from Barnette Elementary regarding a threatening phone call received by school administration.
The suspect threatened violence at the school. Barnette Elementary was placed on lockdown.
Huntersville Police secured the area and checked every room of the school without incident. The
school lockdown was lifted after approximately 30 minutes. The Huntersville Police Criminal
Investigation Division is investigating this incident.
