Dear Jessica:
I have worked with Alice Lane for a few months and with my experience in design and have learned
many things. Picking up on the little details of a room is something that has been imbedded into my
brain. I have a sixth sense that can tell if something is not right in a space. Gaining knowledge about
furniture and how it is made and what makes it a quality product is something I strive for every day.
My passion for design has always had a big influence in my life. When I was younger I would make
pillows and clothes with my little sewing machine. Now those pillow making days have progressed
into a full on passion for everything beautiful.
I was recently informed of the new designer position by my coworker Jennifer Graham. She told me
to look into applying for this position. Of course, being very excited about this position, I had to
provide you with a resume. Attending school has taught me Auto Cad and Revit so I will be able to
present my ideas and designs to others. Developed the skill of perspective drawing so I will be able to
quickly sketch an idea for a client. Learned the theory of color along with the basic principles of
design.
My skill set has benefitted me as a designer to be able to do my best work and will continue to benefit
me throughout my career as a designer.
