This is a recommendation letter for Cibyl Chan. Ms. Chan was my former nursing
student in the Pediatric clinical rotation at Kapi'olani Community College during Fall
2014.
I am a Faculty/Clinical Instructor for the Pediatric clinical rotation at Kapiolani
Community College Associate in Science Degree Nursing Program. The clinical location
site took place at Tripler Army Medical Center.
During clinical, Ms. Chan has come to clinical well prepared with complete
pathophysiology and a good comprehension of concept map to correlate her assigned
pathophysiology to proper medical/nursing interventions. She is quiet but during patient
care she is able to show assertiveness and utilize her knowledge of patients disease
process to deliver appropriate and safe patient care. She is willing to assist her
classmates, primary nurse and staff during clinical time. Also, she shows genuine care
toward assigned patients, family members and staff.
I highly recommend Cibyl Chan for a position in your unit. She is safe, knowledgeable
and motivated to learn about pediatrics during her rotation with me. She will be a great
addition.
