RE: Shana Vazquez This is a recommendation letter for Shana Vazquez. I am a Faculty/Clinical Instructor for the Pediatric clinical rotation at Kapiolani Community College Associate in Science Degree Nursing Program. The clinical location site took place at Tripler Army Medical Center. Ms. Vazquez was my nursing student in Fall semester 2014. During clinical, Ms. Vazquez has shown that she has shown that she has the ability to provide knowledgeable and therefore provide safe care to assigned patients. She came to clinical well prepared, comprehended her assigned patients pathophysiology and able to incorporate appropriate nursing priorities in care. Also, she is aware to practice within her scope of practice as a student nurse, communicated effectively with primary RN, myself and caregivers; and has been able to maintain professionalism amongst the staff. Her LPN work experience has helped her shine during clinical time. She seems much more confident with patient and family interaction as a nursing student. I highly recommend Shana Vazquez for a position in your unit. She is hardworking, motivated and has good interactions amongst staff, patients and family members. She will be a great addition.
