MUGHAL ARCHITECTURE

BRIEF :
Mughal architecture is an architectural style developed by the
mughals in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries throughout the
extent of their empire in the Indian subcontinent. It was an
amalgam of Islamic, Persian, and Indian architecture

sub continent was their unique architecture.It developed in 16th,17th
and 18th centuries.

BENGAL WAS SPLIT IN TO EAST AND WEST BENGAL.


EAST BENGAL BECAME THE EASTWING,BANGLADESH.
WEST BENGAL BECAME THE STATE OF INDIA WITH CALCUTTA AS
A CAPITAL.
THE STATE IS LONG AND NARROW,RUNNING FROM THE DELTA OF THE
GANGES RIVER SYSTEM AT THE BAY OF BENGAL IN THE SOUTH TO THE
HIEGHTS OF THE HIMALAYAS AT THE DARJEELING IN THE NORTH

GEOGRAPHY
PLACED WITH THREE INTERNATIONAL FRONTIERS BANGLADESH,NEPAL
AND BHUTAN.
WEST BENGAL IS LOCATED AT 27O31 AND27O14 NORTH LATITUDE
&86O35 AND 86O53 EAST LONGITUDE

ANCIENT ART OF BENGAL


BENGAL HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SEAT OF ANCIENT ART AND
ARCHITECTURE.THE DEVOLOPMENT OF ARCHITECTURE OF BENGAL

UNDER THE RULE OF DELHI SULTANATE FURTHER ADDED TO ITS


GLORY.BESIDES THE INNUMERABLE MOSQUES,ANY TOMBS WERE
ERECTED IN BENGAL UNDER THE REIGN OF THE DELHI DULTANS.
EKLAKHI MAUSOLEUMS BEING THE ORIGIN OF THEM LOCATED AT
PANDUA,MALDA DISTRICT.ADINA MOSQUE AT HAZRAT PANDUA
