May Day Meeting

We will be having another May Day meeting on Thursday, April 16 at
6pm in the Cafeteria. We have received very few responses to our
request for May Day assistance. As May Day is just a few weeks away,
this meeting is crucial as to the outcome of festivities after the May
Day program as well as future festivities. We realize families are busy
and do not have much free time, so we will need to be realistic about
the demands that the festivities require. If you are free, we would love
to see you than. Mahalo.
Grades 3-5 SBAC AssessmentsAloha parents,
Starting next week your child will be taking SBAC assessments and you can help them to do
well by making them sleep early, and eating a healthy breakfast. This way they are able to
focus better.
Practicing at home- If you have internet connection at home there are a few
programs that we use in school and are free for your child to use. These are
Education City, The Wonders, Achieve 3000 and Keyboard without Tears. There
are many benefits to these programs and it helps your child in school. If you find
you and your child with free time, help them by allowing them access to these
programs. If you need a password please contact Charlene Pryor at 328-2727.

Doyouloveyourschoolgarden?
Aloha families! Last week in garden class, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students worked hard to harvest,
measure, clean and prep over 50 pounds of sugar cane from the Hawaiian cultural garden! The fresh
pressed cane juice will be frozen and used for garden fresh smoothies at our May Day Festival May 16th.
Additionally, students learned to take plant cuttings and had an art contest to design signs for our Ace
Hardware plant sales. Keep an eye out for your childs art at Ace!
